Great campground for a base to explore the White Mountain area; easy to get to many attractions. Scenic riverfront was just perfect to relax nearby after a busy day. New owners care about the campground; it is clean, quiet and nice flat sites. All the campers we met were friendly too.

Exceptionally clean and nice campground. We went with a group of about ten 40ish adults. We rented four 30amp full hookup sites and one cabin. Camper sites are clean and grassy and utilities are up to date. Our friends stayed in there cabins which were also clean, has a fridge, oven, full bathroom, and is well stocked with plates and cooking pans. A wonderful surprise for them. Our friends enjoyed their cabin. There is traffic on rte 302 but it dies down at night and we were usually in the river, playing volleyball, or hiking the trails which are only 20 mins away so the traffic noise wasn’t terrible. There is also a great pizza place only 5 mins away that had some great food. The Along the River staff / owners are great and very friendly. It’s a lot of work to maintain a campground the way they do and for that we were all appreciative. The river is awesome and our black lab loved playing ball in the river. We will all definitely be back. I’m sure the new owners will make many improvements over the years. Thank you for the great experience and we hope to be back again with our friends next year. The Towne family and friends.

Fantastic campground!! Very nice location to be able to see Mount Washington and National Forrest around. Beautiful area to explore. Saw a black bear and moose about 4 miles away from campground which was awesome. Campground was very family friendly and our kids loved the playground and swings. Pool was nice. Bath houses were nice as well and are cleaned daily. Recommend campground and will definitely be back ourselves. Very accommodating owners who gave us tons of local recommendations for places to see and places to eat

Also called Tarry Ho. Level spot, 50 Amp sites are in a sunny open area. Plenty of room for big rigs. Tent sites along the river are very pretty. Decent spacing, good power and hookups. Good WiFi. Quiet at night. Lots of room to walk the dog. Convenient to lot of attractions without being right in the congestion. We camped at Along the River in a Motorhome.
The Basin walk was very pretty in Franconia. Dogs are allowed. Must visit the Mt Washington hotel, it is lovely. Drive up to Mt Washington on a pretty Day was fun. Found a little farmers market in Bethlehem. Ate at Fabyans and really enjoyed it. ~Motorhome girl July 2018
